All Doors Open...

At Academy Northwest, all instruction is Christ-centered and non-denominational.  We are dedicated to supporting families as they train their children in faith, character, and academic excellence.  As a fully accredited, Washington State-approved private school, we offer a distinctive hybrid blend of private school and home education specifically geared toward your family and your student's learning style. By partnering with our school for your child's education, no doors will be closed to your student should circumstances change in their education journey (see testimony at bottom).

Academy Northwest is a Washington State-approved private school that runs an extension program according to RCW 28A.195.010 Section 4.

Extension Program

Academy Northwest supports multiple private school extension programs located across the state of Washington. Certified teachers run these programs and develop services to meet the needs of their local communities. All ANW teachers have the heart to serve their students and provide an education grounded in the Christian faith that will prepare them for post-high school pursuits.

Each location is unique and offers a variety of course offerings and schedule options that are flexible with home-based instruction. Many follow the one-on-one tutoring model, while others provide in-person classes for a small group of students. Some offer online options as well.

Five-day School Program

Academy Northwest currently offers one traditional five-day school program in Marysville, Washington. Certified teacher Patti Hlava, who has been with our school for over 30 years, runs this school. The Academy Northwest–Marysville Campus is reminiscent of the one-room schoolhouse where students experience the Christian Charlotte Mason Method of educating the whole child.

Field Studies Program

Field Studies are homeschool field trip opportunities open to all Pacific Northwest home educators. Academy Northwest (ANW) hosts two amazing Field Study trips each year, one in September and the other in May. These three-day trips offer unique, family-oriented educational experiences and are open to students of all ages, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in ANW.

Consider the following testimony by one ANW parent:

"I’m very grateful we chose Academy Northwest for high school. Before that, we relied on local homeschool co-ops, but ANW gave us extra support with advanced classes and the peace of mind of an accredited transcript. This was one of the best decisions for my daughters’ education.

My older daughter graduated with ANW, while my younger daughter joined the public high school track team and decided to get her diploma there, taking her senior year classes through Running Start at the community college. Thanks to ANW’s accredited transcript, her credits transferred smoothly, and she didn’t need any extra classes.  I was told that this type of transfer would not have been possible without that accredited transcript.

Partnering with Academy Northwest didn’t limit our flexibility or standards. We combined co-ops, online classes, ANW courses, and Running Start, all while getting the accredited transcript we wanted. I’m thankful for the support and encouragement we received as we made choices that fit our family’s values and goals."  C.B.
