Academy Northwest (ANW) offers a unique educational model that blends the best aspects of private schooling and homeschooling. How Our Model Works

Unlike the typical “factory” model often used in a traditional school, our approach honors the student's learning needs while challenging the student to new levels of understanding and skill. In developing an education plan for a student, we do not endorse or follow just one curriculum source. Instead, our teachers draw from a large pool of effective educational resources.

ANW teachers partner with parents and students to formulate a plan for accomplishing academic goals.

Multiple Extension Program Locations

With multiple extension programs in the region, ANW functions like a “school-without-walls” and has served thousands of home-educating families in a successful partnership model since 1981.

Each location is individually owned and operated while working under the oversight of Academy Northwest’s administrative staff and volunteer board of directors. All the teachers receive regular training in the Academy Northwest educational model.

These extension programs are fully recognized by the state and accredited private schools with low students-to-teacher ratios. Each center integrates a biblical worldview and real-life applications into each student’s learning plan. Our ultimate goal is to empower students to fulfill their God-given purpose and calling.
