About Me
My name is Raquel Mendoza, and I am the founder of Tailored Homeschool Learning Center. As a homeschooling mother, educator, and business owner, I understand both the incredible joys and real challenges families experience throughout their homeschool journey. My joy comes from helping families confidently educate their children while keeping Christ at the center of everything they do.
I believe education should never be one-size-fits-all. Every child has unique gifts, interests, and learning styles, and parents deserve support as they discover the educational path that best fits their family. Whether families are just beginning homeschooling or preparing a student for graduation, I enjoy partnering with parents to create personalized educational plans that encourage both academic excellence and strong Christian character.
Families who work with me receive more than academic oversight, they gain a mentor, encourager, and advocate. My goal is to equip parents with the tools, confidence, and support they need while creating meaningful educational experiences that help students thrive spiritually, academically, and personally.
About My Extension Program
Tailored Learning Center exists to serve homeschooling families throughout Snohomish and Skagit Counties by providing Christ-centered educational support, encouragement, and community. We believe homeschooling is about far more than completing assignments it's about raising confident learners, strong families, and disciples of Christ.
Our learning center offers small class sizes that allow students to receive individualized attention while building meaningful friendships with other homeschool students. Classes emphasize hands-on learning, discussion, critical thinking, creativity, and biblical truth. We intentionally create a welcoming environment where students ARE known, encouraged, and challenged.
Beyond weekly classes, we partner closely with parents through educational consultations, individualized learning plans, annual assessments, high school planning, curriculum guidance, and ongoing support throughout the school year. We believe parents are the primary educators of their children, and our role is to strengthen and equip them for long-term success. Education IS discipleship.
In addition to classes, families can access our homeschool resource center and bookstore featuring both new and gently used curriculum, educational games, teaching resources, and parent support. We also host educational events, workshops, and conferences that encourage families to continue growing together.
At Tailored Learning Center, our mission is simple: to provide personalized, Christ-centered education that equips students to grow academically, develop godly character, and pursue God's purpose for their lives.
